Simply wash and dry your herbs, place them (stems down) into the removable receptacle. Then remove the plug on the base and add water. The water is drawn up through the herb stems and helps keep the herbs fresh. Simply check and refill the water every few days and you’ll be amazed at how much longer the herbs will last.
